Looking for Activities to do for Advent?

I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Trying to help daughter see real importance of Christmas is not presents. I am going to have her buy presents for a child in need, we are giving mittens and hats to a children's home, and making a fun kit for an elderly neighbor who is alone and has been ill. I have some other fun things to do but I wanted to know what you and your family might do.
