Freeware to Download FLV (Flash Video) Files From Various Websites..... ?

I need something to download youtube or imeem flv videos. I hope it's spy-ware and mal-ware free. Any ideas? I want to be able to download the files from various sites and re-edit/convert to wmv and add my mp3's and other editing. Thanks for any answers! Thumbs up to all who respond.
