Plumbing central heating?

I Know the normal for the feed heating pipes is 22mm then take 15mm off of them to the rads but what would happen if the feed pipes were the same 15mm. the problem is I don't seem to be able to find the 22mm pipes under the floor boards only where they come out of the boiler
