PH measurement during a reflux?

You should not be attempting to open the reflux apparatus to extract samples for any type of ysis. The correct method for pH measurement is to use a pH meter and insert the electrode through a separate fitting. This also allows for instantaneous (real time) checking of pH. By opening the apparatus you risk many problems, health, fire, loss of reactants etc.
