Should I stay away from this guy?

There is this new kid at my school, and he is new because he got expelled. It turns out he got expelled from the other district for ual ault. What he would do was usually stuff like lifting up girls' shirts. I often see him staring at me during homeroom, so should I try to stay as far away as possible from him? (And I am a girl)
